In hospitals, healthcare facilities and nursing homes, which are made up of many different departments, units and divisions, it is necessary to be able to communicate instantly with medical staff, patients or their relatives.
Karel Nurse Call Systems, which work in integration with switchboards and HIS software, offer hardware suitable for infrastructures for different needs such as analog and IP. Nurse Call Systems, which form the communication solution that will provide intervention as soon as possible in case of emergency, help to record and report all kinds of transactions such as call location time, intervention speed, personnel intervention information, etc.

Analog Systems

Analog Nurse Call Systems
- This Analog based system includes attendant warning console (dot matrix LED-based), attendant call reporting, warning/notification software, room control unit, lamp control unit (optional), bed set call reset, patient hand set and WC emergency call button with a cord and over-door warning lamp.
  Calls made from any point of the systems are simultaneously are shown visually and in audio form both on the attendant call console and on the computer where the simulator software is installed.
  The records/registries of the events are stored on a PC software and can be reported at any time.
  The attendant visits the room and pushes the call reset button to indicate that he/she has attended to the matter. Overdoor corridor lamp turns into red during a call, and into green when the attendant attends to the matter.
  When the matter is attended to, a different emergency occurs. The system switched into emergency call mode (Code Blue) via call button. This lights overdoor corridor lamp blue, and the attendant panel and simulator software will send notification in emergency mode.
  Simulator software, which operates on the system, can also work on the network. Within different scenarios that contain more than one services, it is possible to track the calls of different notification panels from one point via night shift application when there are no attendants present in the service.

Room Control Unit
- It conducts the communication between the nurse console and the call buttons present in the rooms. The room control unit, which can continue to operate without external supply and is suitable for surface mounting, supports 4 beds, 1 WC and 1 bathroom.
Lamp Control Unit
- This is the unit to be added to the system in case of a need of lamp control. One module is enough to support a 4-bed patient room.
Nurse Call Panel
- This unit is used to show the calls made and where the calls are made from. It can operate separately or through a computer. It includes mode adjustment. On the panel with 4-digit clock and temperature display, 4 digits are used as the main indicator for the last call; 4 digits x 4 lines are used to show the calls that have already arrived. With 99 room connection capacity, the Nurse Call Panel displays emergency and nurse room status with LEDs, while events are notified audibly by buzzer according to the type of event.
Analog Bed Set Unit
- This unit which allows nurse calling and call ending, is mounted into the patient headboard console. It is also the unit the hand set is connected to. The unit, which uses ABS raw material, provides easy installation with RJ45 socket, while emergency call and reset buttons are illuminated by continuous LEDs for easy viewing.
Analog WC Call Unit
- It is used in the WCs or bathrooms of the patient rooms. In an emergency, the patient pulls the cord and makes an emergency call. It appears as WC emergency on the nurse console.
Analog Overdoor Corridor Lamp
- It is located above the door in the corridor and with its half-sphere form and three different notification colors (red, green blue), it can be easily seen in case of emergencies.
Analog Patient Hand Set
- It informs the hospital personnel quickly in case of an emergency. The set works connected to the bedside unit, and the easy-to-understand auxiliary visuals on it guide the patient according to their needs.

IP Systems (Versatile)

IP Nurse Call Systems (Versatile)
- This is the IP based system of the product family. It includes 18.5″ LCD attendant alert terminal, 4.3″ touch screen room control unit, lamp control unit (optional), bed set call reset, patient hand set, WC emergency button with cord, overdoor alert lamp and call server (ZKRUS).
  It can notify the LCD attendant alert panel and one or more alert terminals defined in the system simultaneously (pager devices, DECT phones, fixed phones, hospital announcement system notifications) when a call is made from any point of the system.
  System has a flexible structure since it is IP based, which allows different scenarios on the platform.
  Events that occur on the system are stored on the server and can be reported. The PIMS (Patient Information Management System) software of the system can be integrated optionally. If they are integrated, the ID and critical patient information of the caller can be shared with the attendant.
  Nurse Call Incidents, Critical Incidents / Blue Code, Code Status Statistics, Statistics, Performance Interface, Graphical Reports, Performance Report, Technical Problems Breakdown are among the standard reports provided.
  Bed Set Unit, Patient Hand Set, WC Call Unit, Overdoor Corridor Lamps included in the Analog Nurse Call Systems are also included in the IP Nurse Call Systems Versatile series with the same features.

Versatile Room Control Unit
- It conducts the communication between the nurse console and the call buttons present in the rooms The room control unit has a 4.3'' touch screen suitable for built-in or surface-mounted installation and supports 6 beds, 1 WC and 1 bathroom as standard.
  It is equipped with the ability to define up to 99 addresses in total. When the bed buttons on the screen are pressed, the information in PIMS system can be tracked through the patient information screen.
  Routine control feature is standard. This feature allows to report when the attendant checks the room without any need for a call. The room control unit includes a card reader. All cards that are read are checked for authorization.
Versatile Nurse Call Panel
- This unit is used to show the calls made and where the calls are made from. Next generation call panel has touch screen and the equipment to work with it. Panel can actively monitor the room control unit connected to it and IP numbers.
  Information panel band displays the errors that occur in the system and information messages. Emergency, WC-bathroom and room calls can be tracked on the panel. Every process that is carried out in the system is recorded. These records can be reported in detail.
  Its interface contains room-tracking icons (icon numbers are adjustable). Emergency calls can be monitored via these icons.
Versatile Nurse Call Consult
- It is the interface through which consultation requests can be made which are needed in emergency call units. It has 21’’ touch-screen and it is easy to use. It includes an integrated card reader.
Nurse Call Hospital Server (ZKRUS)
- The terminal which ensures room control units, hospital PBX and emergency code alarms are integrated into each other. Includes Emergency Code server, voice record server and Wi-Fi DECT IP phone server modules. It connects the hospital switchboard server to the PBX of the hospital by means of analog, IP, BRI, PRI protocols.
  Code emergencies can be initiated or ended via a phone or room control units from anywhere. All operations are recorded and can be reported if preferred. It can transfer the system notifications to DECT phones, pager devices or mobile phones through phone lines.
  System runs on Linux operating system. Therefore, it is safe. It enables the notification of different alarm or request situations (Code blue, pink, white notifications, consultation, cleaning or maintenance notifications, etc.) that occur at any point in the hospital using fixed telephones.
Pager Device
- The 4-line high-resolution, illuminated display makes it easy to read messages, and the simple pagers, which can be used with a carrying strap and clip, have five customizable alert tones and a vibration alert mode. Powered by AAA recycled batteries and manually adjustable handsets have 6 addresses and a capacity of 1,000 messages.
Wireless Call Transmitter
- Wireless transmitter is the unit which ensures the calls coming from the nurse call system are sent to the pager phones. It broadcasts at 433 MHz, complying with the KET regulations. Nurse Call and Communication Server reports and records all the events. In other words, if we examine any record, we can check by whom, where, under which service and when it was performed.

IP Communication (Comfort)

IP Nurse Call Systems (Comfort)
- It is the product family which provides the infrastructure of the voice communication platform of the Nurse Call Systems product family. It is designed for you to provide an improved service and comfort to your guests. It can operate separately as Comfort series or can be integrated into the Versatile family.
  The Comfort Series allows the patient to speak directly to the attendant when the patient makes a call, while the call server records all voice conversations between the patient and the attendant and can be returned to these recordings at any time to make the necessary examinations and reports can be obtained.
  Your guests can make external phone calls via Comfort Series. These calls can be automatically included in the patient's account. Your guests can control the TV in their rooms via Comfort series hand set. They can adjust room lighting or turn reading lamp on/off. They can also use the integrated tiny flash light whenever needed.
  The IP Voice Hand Set allows patient call, call record, integrated flash light/reading lamp/room lighting adjustment, TV control, nurse voice call, extension/external dial. With its voice call feature, the attendant can check the situation and the patient's status. This feature saves time, allows you to be with the patient at all times and visit the patient in a more comfortable way.
  The interface is simple and easy to use even in panic situations. You can signal emergencies simply by pressing a button. This product can be used at all times (day-night) thanks to its backlit buttons.

The unit, which automatically receives all the parameters that need to be entered from the nurse panel to which it is connected, provides great savings and convenience in installation and service time.

  The panel, which has text messaging capability between nurse panels, enables calls to be redirected to another panel by staff who are not on-site thanks to the night service feature.
