Karel’s electronic board manufacturing is a field of activity that covers all processes from design to production where Karel is a competitive company, providing services to brands like Arçelik, Beko in Turkey and  AEP-Applied Energy, INCA etc. in international platform.
 
One of the main strengths of Karel, as one of the biggest and most experienced brands in the market, is its high quality production capabilities and processes that realize international standards, particularly the military ones. 
 
Karel can provide flexible services both in turn-key projects from design to logistics and in selected processes in accordance with the requirements of the customer. And, this allows Karel to provide services for customers with different profiles in different projects for different requirements.

KAREL EMS reserves 10% of its annual turnover to R&D activities.
KAREL EMS R&D activities are performed at the Cyberpark in Bilkent University at the moment. Our R&D department applies formal project management procedures and uses state-of-the-art design and testing equipment.

• Full electronic control modules for dishwashers and washing machines

All incoming component quality control and product quality control activities in the Karel electronic board production processes are performed according to the following IPC standards:

• IPC J-STD-001D Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies
• IPC/JEDEC J-STD-020C Moisture Sensitivity Classification for Nonhermetic Solid State Surface Mount Devices
• IPC/JEDEC J-STD-033A Handling, Packing, Shipping, and Use of Moisture-Sensitive Surface-Mount Devices

In addition to the above standards, "production quality function" also includes the software tests. We also have an online document center and in-house sub-industry assessment procedures.
 
KAREL has BVQI ISO-9001 (2008 revision) certificate and has attained CMMI 3rd Stage for advanced project management and total quality management. Karel also has "Facility Security Clearance" for defense industry productions.

Karel uses Oracle Applications 11 for Corporate Resource Planning. This application includes inventory, planning, purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, order management, quality, finance and cost accounting.

• Determining proper delivery time
• Simulation of changes in the customer demands and feedback on material and production capacity
• Monitoring of end products and raw material

Karel electronic board production department performs its purchases via central purchasing department which also performs the purchases for the Karel PBX products, and thus ensures an economy scale to obtain significant discounts.
